MK7 Gti – 40% Increase

June 7, 2019 /Posted byBen / 7441

Mk7 Gti Performance Pack
40% increase in power at 6000rpm 🚀
This Gti came in for our Stage 1 High Flow Package which consists of our ECU and TCU/DSG software. CTS Turbo inlet elbow and our in house factory intake system modification for maximum airflow.

Huge gains once again. We recorded 134kw at the wheels standard (blue) and after our custom calibration power was increased to 182kw (red). Torque measured 284Nm (blue) at the wheels with the factory calibration and was increased to a very usable 363Nm (red) at the wheels.

You may wonder why the standard 134kw seems low compared to the 162 or 169kw the car comes out with. This is because the factory measure power at the engine flywheel and when the car is on the Dyno we measure power at the wheels. So we start with 162/169kw (Standard Gti/Performance Pack) then take away drivetrain losses of the gearbox and wheels and we end up with the recorded 134kw. The important thing to note is the before and after results which in this case are absolutely amazing. Turning this Gti in to a real weapon on the road.
